The Kenneth C Coombs School strives to provide high quality, individualized education to equip students with skills and  knowledge  for the future.  This goal shall be achieved through a partnership of educators, families and the community that values cooperation, diversity and creativity in a child centered inclusive learning environment.

Thank you for an amazing PTO meeting last week! We are working on putting together another parent/caregiver night out this winter, so stay tuned!

KCCS and QS Connection

Ms. Grieve's first grade class has paired up with Mr. Kilduff's fourth grade class from QS for Book Buddies! Last week’s book buddy theme was all about handling big emotions! Students discussed what big emotions are and why we have them.

Mashpee Youth Baseball & Softball- Survey

Mashpee Youth Baseball and Softball would like your feedback!

We would love to bring back Girls Softball to Mashpee. Teams would travel to local towns for games and practices would be held during the week. This opportunity would be for girls in grades 3-6.

Reveal Math in 2nd Grade

Reveal Math is our primary math program at KCCS. Students discuss math concepts, solve math problems and make predictions to stretch their thinking and ideas.

Thunder Visits Coombs

Before winter break, students filled the Falcon Nest with eggs! Falcon Eggs are earned by students who show Falcon 5 behaviors. The Falcon 5 are: Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful, Be Caring and Be Ready!

Indoor Recess

The frigid New England weather was in full force so we held indoor recess the majority of the week. Students had a blast building with magnet tiles, playing board games and so much more!

Mid Year Assessments

As you recall, we have refreshed our academic support services (MTSS) this year to ensure our students successfully master the curriculum. A significant part of this effort is our assessment process. The Mashpee Public Schools will conduct mid-year Renaissance STAR Assessments between January 13th and 24th.

With Dr. Hope Hanscom's resignation as she assumes the role of Executive Director of the Cape Cod Collaborative, I am pleased to share that Dr. Pam Gould will assume the role of Interim Assistant Superintendent of Schools, beginning January 21, 2025
